Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Coordinate product and client account on-boarding and lifecycle activity - support new fund and account launches, transfers, changes; ensuring all operational areas are prepared for timely and seem-less implementation.
• Collaborate extensively with investment operational teams as well client service and product stakeholders to ensure operational readiness for account lifecycle events.
• Work with continuous improvement and project management mindset in team environment to enrich procedures and process.
• Participate in account onboarding automation efforts including company-wide workflow efforts and outsourcing integration initiatives.
• Engage and coordinate critical change initiatives and projects that enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and identify additional opportunities to improve operational processes, communicating recommendations to management team.
• Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the investment operations functions and processes by developing and implementing process improvement initiatives, and by identifying and planning the execution of best practices.

Nuveen is seeking an AVP, Client and Product Readiness. This role will be a part of Nuveen Global Investment Operations and will report into the VP, Client and Product Readiness. The Nuveen Global Investment Operations team provides operational support for investment activities across Nuveen and its affiliates and plays a leadership role in the transformation of how services are delivered to our internal clients. This includes the continued integration of affiliates onto future state platforms, consolidation and validation of data, process improvement and risk mitigation, and the implementation of new capabilities to support the rapid growth of assets under management and the complexity of assets managed. Stakeholder identification, engagement, and communication are an essential component of successful outcomes.

Required Skills:

• 3 or more years of investment operations and/or project management experience within an Asset Management organization.
• Must have experience with managing/monitoring multiple initiatives with emphasis on tracking and status communication.
• Experience using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Skills:

• 5 or more years of investment operations and/or project management experience within an Asset Management organization.
• Knowledge of investment and accounting systems including experience working with external service providers.
• Possess strong analytical skills on end-to-end processes that link capabilities and priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity, with genuine interest in investments.
• Strong program/project management experience.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills, with emphasis on client service and follow through.

Base Pay Range: $100,700/yr. - $139,200/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
