Role Summary/Purpose:

AVP, CSS Technology - Cardholder Communication serves as the subject matter expert utilizing the Fiserv Strategic Communication Solutions (SCS) statement and letter platforms in addition to the DecisionQuest (DQ) application for Plastics and Plastic Pins. The SCS Letters, Statements/and DQ applications are dynamic platforms used internally by Synchrony to develop and produce Letters, Statements, Plastics, and Plastic Pins.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Participate in cross-functional efforts to support and deliver functionality enhancements and simplification initiatives related to the conversion statement, letters and plastic processes
  • Manage IT deliverables in support of all conversion initiatives including Fiserv (FS) system statement, letters and plastic builds
  • Provide day-to-day support to address business questions and systems operations issues, implementing corrective actions as it relates to the statement and plastic process
  • Interact and collaborate with the Synchrony Compliance Production Support team for research and defect remediation
  • Identify process improvements, cost savings, and cycle time reduction for speed to market
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to support conversions, new business, and de-conversions while assisting and providing support for new product launches
  • Manage deliverables effectively to ensure all statement, letters, and plastic project milestones and process steps are met, including testing, release review, audits, and post-install validation
  • Ensure smooth transition of major and minor code installs through awareness, evaluation, and participation in testing
  • Monitor and audit key change control process points to ensure high quality "run" operations. Initiate corrective action, as directed.
  • Responsible for the overall servicing of Synchrony's client portfolios utilizing the Fiserv processing system and other applicable platforms
  • Consult with business and project teams to translate business requirements into specific system changes to effectively initiate and implement new products/functionality/clients.
  • Continuously prepare, update and distribute process and client level documentation
  • Participate in finding ways to increase efficiency, improve team performance and offer improvement suggestions when appropriate.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 to 4 years of IT experience or in lieu of degree High School diploma and 6 to 7 years of IT experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Fiserv system related experience with strong knowledge of current Fiserv capabilities and productions including: Online Product Control File, SCS Letters, Statements, DecisionQuest, and Plastics

Grade/Level: 10

The salary range for this position is 65,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
