Role Summary/Purpose:
Pets Best, a Synchrony Health and Wellness solution, is a leading pet insurance brand building the future of pet health and financial solutions. Our mission is to ensure pet parents are financially prepared to care for their pets.
The AVP, Digital Product Owner role will own the product roadmap for driving new pet growth through user experience innovation and best in class optimization. The ideal candidate will combine the use of analytics, user experience, functionality, and engagement to define leading web and mobile digital customer experiences.
This individual will coordinate with teams in IT, Marketing, Business Development, and have a firm understanding of the competitive landscape to inform decision making and prioritization.

Essential Responsibilities
- Analyze web and app analytics to understand customer and partner journeys and develop insights that help inform features, functionality, and future improvements across the business
- Develop a dashboard and metrics to communicate leading indicators and track progress against key goals and objectives
- Build and maintain a product roadmap for consumer facing applications (both pre-and post-purchase) with clear and compelling business requirements
- Clarify business needs and translate requirements into UI/UX
- Ability to convert business requirements into technical stories and acceptance criteria in JIRA
- Collaborate with internal and external IT resources and various departments to implement new feature/functionality enhancements
- Design, implement, and analyze AB test result to guide effective decision making
- Build a strong cross-functional network and foster close working relationships with internal stakeholders
- Present learnings and recommendations to internal and external business partners
- Identify market needs and propose new functionality based on competitive research and sound analytics
- Understand consumer and digital marketing trends, consumer purchase cycles and best practices in UX and development
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proactively engage with Compliance and Legal to ensure adherence with all external and internal compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree OR in lieu of degree; high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of Digital Project and/or Product Management experience
- A minimum of 2 years of project management experience, preferably Agile / IT Project Management
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience working on consumer facing web and mobile experiences
- An understanding of API products and technology
- Familiarity with current digital design standards and user experiences
- Demonstrated project and product management skills with strong attention to detail
- Flexible, high energy, self-starter with an emphasis on action
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with little supervision
- Able to build consensus across cross functional teams and matrix organizations, strong communication skills
- Familiarity and experience working with technical teams in an agile development process, including the use of agile tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Training in scaled agile framework (SAFe) and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification
- High PC proficiency (MS Office, Teams, PowerPoint, etc)
Grade/Level: 10
The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 1033(E) Of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act Of 1994
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
