Role Summary/Purpose:

This high-visibility role requires a proven digital marketer with history of driving client growth & strategic change across a matrixed organization. Key responsibilities include influencing & executing marketing strategy for multiple retailers while helping to lead eTail industry growth across Synchrony. Ideal candidate will have extensive B2B channel management experience & will drive rapidly shifting eTail industry strategy while partnering cross-functionally to onboard & manage clients.

The successful candidate will work with Sales, Analytics, New Client Integration, Digital and Marketing Execution teams to:
  • Determine approach to drive eTail industry growth in collaboration with other Synchrony Financial business functions to develop new digital product capabilities and to expand/operationalize existing ones.
  • Connect with cross-functional partners to build eTail industry specific digital marketing strategies for new & existing clients.
  • Partner with analytics to measure performance while delivering best in class strategic insight.

This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Work seamlessly across functions and platforms to grow eTail industry presence across Synchrony.
  • Partner with new & existing clients to develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive marketing calendar containing actionable and innovative marketing strategies.
  • Identify on and off property growth opportunities to drive consumer engagement & strengthen existing relationships.
  • Introduce new ideas and concepts to drive consumer growth and strengthen partner relationships.
  • Educate internal team and partners on digital market conditions/opportunities and proactively drive change.
  • Partner with Digital COE to optimize execution of digital marketing (Site, Search Engine, Display Ads, Mobile, Social Media) for our partners & lead digital innovation across our business
  • Coordinate strategic execution efforts with the overarching eTail industry team & their functional partners from prospect phase thru New Client Integration & client management
  • Partner with Digital Marketing Analytics team to build client KPI tracking to ensure maximization of investment.
  • Support VP, eTail Marketing Leader to grow and execute strategies that build & expand partner relationships while driving eTail industry growth
  • Partner with loyalty & IT teams to create efficient, productive solutions for our clients.
  • Leverage third party partnerships to incorporate consumer research into ongoing eTail strategy
  • Ensure program and Synchrony Financial performance goals are met.
  • Ensure company compliance requirements are satisfied as well as protections from enterprise risk.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of degree at least 8 years working within digital industries and/or with digital retailers in a marketing capacity
  • A minimum of 4 years of total marketing experience (practical and collegiate) that includes at least 3 years of digital marketing experience
  • At least 2 years of experience partnering with consumer analytics and internal

Desired Characteristics:
  • MBA, graduate degree
  • Marketing experience in credit card networks, financial services or retail industry
  • Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Experience coding in SAS, SQL and/or html
  • Experience working across functions to manage client relationships
  • Champion of marketing/digital metrics & program measurement
  • Motivated, driven self-starter with experience working autonomously
  • Ability to leverage technology and help create new products, channels, and business models
  • Experience with web-based sales, marketing activities and/or mobile technologies
  • Familiarity with loyalty programs and direct to consumer marketing strategies
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent strategic, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent influencing and relationship-building skills

Eligibility Requirements:
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
