Role Summary/Purpose:

This critical finance role supports the Platform Finance teams primarily responsible for providing support to the Diversified & Value platform (J Crew, American Eagle, Dicks Sporting Goods, Belk) and secondary support to the PayPal portfolio. This position will work closely with the portfolio Finance Managers to deliver every day for our clients, and will coordinate and work with multiple teams (Client teams, Forecasting, Platform FP&A, Platform Support, Marketing, Analytics).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with platform finance managers on client-related deliverables: financial projections, contractual reporting, operating reviews, invoices & payments, ad hoc.
  • Partner with the cross-functional support team to drive the portfolio growth strategy and support innovation efforts to ensure mutually-beneficial outcomes for SYF and our partners.
  • Support client teams in developing drivers for internal short & long-range forecasts.
  • Manage contractual funds provide updates for and ongoing investment analyses.
  • Integrate with and provide regular finance updates for both internal & external client teams.
  • Create and maintain analytics supporting accuracy of financial forecasts of Forecasting team.
  • Drive financial process improvements & standardization across platforms to enhance process efficiency, and support new initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field with emphasis on quantitative skills or in lieu of degree, 6 years equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of finance experience in financial services.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
  • Experience handling external vendor or client requests.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Financial services industry experience.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, develop appropriate action plans and deliver results timely.
  • Ability to lead projects and assignments.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business data with the ability to distill large amounts of information down to the critical areas of focus.
  • Ability to create and deliver business presentations and communicate effectively.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills, and attention to detail.

Grade/Level: 10

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • N ew hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
