Job Description

The position of Associate / AVP, Global Alternative Investments Product, will focus on institutional product development, management, and research responsibilities, including the launch of new private capital fund offerings. In addition, the role will support the on-going management and oversight of established products from a sales positioning, governance, and business performance perspective. The successful candidate will achieve results through intellectual curiosity, leadership, and idea generation in collaboration with the asset class lead, investment teams, sales, legal, marketing, operations, and finance personnel.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supports the overall product development and management lifecycle through the coordination of cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Operations, Distribution, Legal, Compliance) and project management of key initiatives.
  • Produces competitive intelligence to enhance new products and better position existing product set.
  • Supports the sales cycle as subject matter expert on assigned product matters with sales team and clients, providing guidance and detailed product information for due diligence questions, client servicing, offering memoranda, and other purposes.
  • Manages alternative investment products on the basis of investment performance, operating model, profitability, vendor management, and strategic direction of the firm.
  • Oversees and supports governance matters with various internal committees.
  • Ensures products are compliant with local market regulatory requirements to support distribution.
  • Supports broader alternatives product team through various business management initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in financial services, business management, or consulting

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, business management, or consulting
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong knowledge of alternatives asset classes including private equity and private credit
  • Experience using industry research tools (i.e., Preqin, eVestment, FinSearches)
  • Must be self-directed with ability to escalate as needed
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to organize and prioritize to meet project timelines
  • Cultural fit and desire to work in an in-office team environment
  • CFA or CAIA designation
  • Direct experience in asset management, preferably working in investment related functions managing alternative products
  • Alternative investments product, investor relations, or strategy and operations experience preferred

Base Pay Range: $116,000/yr. - $193,300/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
