Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Marketing - Lowe's Consumer Acquisitions marketing manager will be responsible for the wing-to-wing management of Lowe's consumer Cardholder Acquisition Marketing programs. This individual will work collaboratively within Synchrony and the Lowe's client organization to support and implement consumer acquisition marketing strategies and tactics to achieve Synchrony Financial and client growth metrics inclusive of cardholder activation and usage.

This position is remote, where you will work from home, and may require you to occasionally commute to one our offices for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. We're proud to offer you flexibility, so remote candidates will be considered who live near any of Synchrony hubs that support our Enterprise Operations. For this role, the preferred Synchrony Hub will be Charlotte.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Understand, incorporate and support the client's key business objectives and strategic vision into the planning process to achieve set objectives.
  • Develop and deliver best-in-class early month on books and lifecycle marketing campaigns that optimize and engage cardholders and drive usage across all channels; deliver program results to senior management .
  • Integrate client, credit, and product offerings at targeted key customer touch points.
  • Deliver Marketing programs through cross-functional matrixed organizational structure.
  • Support strategic marketing efforts and work with Marketing COEs to ensure flawless execution.
  • Manage comprehensive consumer statement marketing strategy and execution.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to ensure digital assets are in place and optimized. Push for cutting edge thinking and agenda.
  • Manage legal and compliance requirements for campaigns, programs, and initiatives, including approvals and audit validations.
  • Own, track and manage the overall consumer marketing budget.
  • Monitor and manage performance of acquisition marketing metrics vs. plan. Assist in the development of marketing growth strategy, Op Plan processes and ongoing portfolio diagnostic processes.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field OR in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 12 years of marketing experience
  • 5 + years of marketing experience
  • 5 + years demonstrated growth marketing leadership skills (analytic and creative) with significant exposure to consumer facing programs/products.
  • Ability to travel to client as needed (~5%)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Marketing experience preferably in retail, direct marketing, credit card or financial services.
  • Experience influencing organizations and other professionals with a minimum of 2 years of managerial responsibility.
  • Strong PC proficiency (MS Office Suite) or comparable software applications.
  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA).
  • Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Collaborative style and approach with comfort working in a matrixed, decentralized structure.
  • Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.
  • Strong experience with customer engagement marketing across email, direct mail and online channels

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • N ew hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
