Role Summary/Purpose:
Responsible for driving growth, penetration and profitability for large and medium sized retail clients within the distributed network of merchants in the HOME Marketing Team. Clients include furniture, appliance and electronics retailers. This role requires a passionate, proven leader with demonstrated ability to drive growth, manage complex projects and implement innovation via a focus on our retailers/clients and their consumers. This role would assist in the day-to-day management of one large client as well as own the marketing strategy and implementation for a portfolio of medium to small clients.
The AVP partners with the VP of Marketing and our clients to develop and execute strategies that optimize the consumer buying experience by integrating credit in all relevant touch points. This includes building an effective online credit presence, an in-store credit culture, and developing strong consumer offers which drive incremental spend and retailer loyalty through multi-channel, multi-segment marketing.
Several of the clients the position supports are buying associations, or program partners consisting of thousands of member retailers. This requires a significant focus on b2b marketing to those members to fully integrate financing into their stores and digital presence, and b2c marketing to generate incremental sales with current merchant cardholders.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Be the direct point of contact for a portfolio of clients, assess their needs and jointly create and execute growth plans to align with the overall client business strategy.
- Support VP, Client Marketing Leader to execute strategies that bolster our key retail brands, optimize partner relationships, and drive deeper credit penetration.
- Optimize execution of digital marketing strategies in conjunction with partner efforts (Client Website, SEM, SEO, Mobile Platforms, Social Media) to build client and SYF growth.
- Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive marketing calendar for retail partners containing actionable and innovative marketing to achieve growth goals.
- Manage internal marketing teams and creative agencies to deliver across all marketing channels.
- Develop and execute B2B and B2B2C multi-channel marketing campaigns including email, direct mail, digital, trade show and partner channels to support growth in credit penetration, new dealer enrollment, incremental sales, education of value of financing, and adoption of SYF tools.
- Ensure clients and SYF efforts follow all advertising and compliance guidelines and leverage existing processes.
- Introduce new ideas and concepts to drive consumer growth and strengthen partner relationships. Educate internal teams and partners on market conditions and opportunities and proactively drive change.
- Lead consumer behavior and competitive intelligence efforts to develop strong, simple, and differentiated consumer value propositions. This includes promotional financing, rewards programs, and special discounts and benefits.
- Jointly with Sales drive and communicate all key metrics pertaining to the performance of the client portfolios.
- Create, build, and maintain a collaborative partnership with sales, legal, compliance, risk, finance, collections, and operations and marketing support teams to drive overall results.
- Manage and optimize discretionary and contractual client budgets to grow the business. Continuously track spending to ensure programs are executed efficiently and within budget.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries.
- A minimum of 6 years of marketing experience to include:
- In-depth understanding of traditional consumer marketing channels, as well as online and social media.
- Ability to think strategically and implement actionable plans to drive business results.
- Ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Champion of marketing metrics and program measurement (incremental sales, campaign profitability, break-even analysis, etc.).
- Ability to interact with key clients, senior leadership and sales team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong project management skill.

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Some positions are bonus eligible.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
