The EPMO is focused on the design and implementation of integrated solutions to enable efficiencies and effectiveness; supports the strategic planning, budgeting and governance of business transformation initiatives and facilitates coordination across functional and organizational boundaries; collaborates with stakeholders to assess business process efficiency, operational performance and environmental factors to identify improvement opportunities; manages and coordinates resources to support program and project management, business analysis and provides oversight of project execution; and serves as GA’s center of excellence in the execution of large scale business transformation initiatives
As a member of the EPMO team, the Program Manager partners with Individual Markets key stakeholders to lead and deliver value-added and strategic solutions for Global Atlantic. This role oversees and directs the planning, and execution of Individual Markets projects.   You will work closely with project teams (including product owners, business units and TPAs) and key stakeholders to understand customer and user needs, resolve conflicts and remove barriers, and ensure deliverables are on-time and meet quality standards. This role will typically interface with a diverse mix of internal and external stakeholders, all working towards the goal of predictable delivery of value.
We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial and consultant outlook, has a systems thinking mindset, the ability to simplify the complex and act upon it, who is comfortable working in a dynamic team environment, and who will embrace the opportunity to connect cross functionally with other ahead, program/portfolio management experience, and possess excellent business partnering, negotiation and networking skills.
Responsibilities:Â
- Accountable for a set of related projects that deliver strategic value.
- Lead projects that require multiple layers of service providers and internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, Technology partners, Strategic Sourcing, and other key teams across organization
- Prioritize and report on program updates and value capture plan with internal stakeholders for EPMO Monthly Governance reviews
- Translate the business strategy, needs & requirements into clear direction for the project teams
- Drive and execute multiple projects at a time based on demand of EPMO projects
- Drive and execute in the definition of project scope and goals, including project and staffing estimation
- Define and create project approach, including project plans, targets, milestones and dependencies in Workfront/ PPMS tool
- Participate in annual discretionary planning and Quarterly financial planning with Business Finance Officer
- Track project/engagement dependencies, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful project implementation
- Lead stakeholder communications across all project work threads. Ensure appropriate communications regarding issues and risks to foster project success and long-term stakeholder relationship
- Serves as internal escalation point person on projects and ability to successfully resolve problems and issues
- Serve as subject matter expert and lead sponsor for designated program and projects and provide meaningful updates to business in laymen’s terms.
- Champion continuous core business capability improvement through timely adoption of innovative solutions, procedures, and processes
Qualifications
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant Project/Program Management experience in Annuities or Financial Services
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration or related field
- Proven Experience with project management tools and techniques, such as EPMO tools (Workfront) and Waterfall, Scrum, and Kanban delivery methodologies
- Proven experience in project status reporting, RAID log documentation and reviews, Steering Committee documentation and management, Executive Sponsor reviews
- Excellent interpersonal communication, conflict management, coordination, and planning skills with cross-functional teams
- Excellent Written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
- Experience with managing project or program financials (hours reporting, SOWs, invoices, etc.) and vendor Management
- Skilled in applying judgment to balance process compliance with achievement of business objectives
- Passion and drive for continuous improvement, transformational change, with a business owner mentality
- Has the ability to break down large complex problems into smaller deliverables that can be executed through an iterative approach in weeks and months, not months and years.
- Strives for excellence but can see failure as an opportunity to learn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes and gain team member and stakeholder buy-in
- Critical thinker and highly analytical with an ability to solve complex problems that include the application of both good business sense and common sense
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to interpret data and synthesize complex issues to identify best solutions.
- Builds trusted relationships and collaborates across diverse and multi-functional teams to successfully drive business objectives.
- Project leadership experience focused on engaging others in the delivery and execution of technical solutions and service deliverables
- Outcome oriented with the ability to drill down from the big picture to process details
- Ability to balance multiple priorities / projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
- Proven ability to proactively collaborate and build relationships, take initiative, and creatively problem solve
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
- PMP certification
Preferred:Â
- Advanced degree.
- Life Insurance and/or Annuity experience
- Experience managing large, complex programs
- Experience working and leading in an Agile Delivery Mode
- 15 years of experience in various business/technology roles with progressive responsibilities
Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office.Â
Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives. The base salary range for this role is $90,596 to $187,803
