Position Overview
Reporting to the Regional Vice President of Sales, the VP of Area Sales is responsible for sales operations in their assigned area and provides guidance to Client Relations Directors and other sales team members to ensure established goals and performance objectives are achieved. Hands-on position develops, mentors and monitors sales teams to achieve optimal performance levels. Position assists in strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting. Analyzes competition and market trends and deploys manpower and resources accordingly to increase market share. Oversees implementation of Corporate and Brand programs and identifies revenue generating opportunities. This role requires in-person coaching to the field sales team and will require travel to those areas of which you have direct oversight, so the candidate must reside in one of the following states: GA, VA, or NC.
Essential Job Functions
Collaborates, develops and implements Segment strategy/plans to accommodate regional/area goals.
Participate in monthly/quarterly/annual regional sales meetings
Consistently delivers Segment sales revenue and margin targets
Leads and communicates segment's forecast and margin, resource needs, and customer communication.
Helps RVPS with interviews, hiring, and termination of employees, training, and performance evaluations
Develops and implements segment's long-term customer strategies
Represents Company at association meetings, conventions and shows to promote Aveanna Healthcare.
Work with Segment Team leaders on approving and prioritizing projects
Involvement in Company Initiatives/Task Forces as needed
Assists sales team with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
Analyzes and controls expenditures of direct reports and team to conform to budgetary requirements
Develops and maintains top level relationships within segment customer base
Effectively presents proposals to improve Aveanna Healthcare overall performance
Monitors and evaluates the activities and services of the competition
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University
Six years of top level sales experience
Develop, coach and manage 6-12 direct reports with success
Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Current driver's license and acceptable MVR
