Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for providing cross functional support within Client Accounting (US and Asia). This role will have responsibility for the monthly review/preparation of assigned client contractual obligations and incentives to ensure compliance with current program agreements and internal operational CTQs (across multiple platforms including Care Credit), support in the review and approval of journal entries and payment requests, planning and management of monthly tasks, and working closely with Finance Managers to support client programs across all platforms. In addition this role will be responsible for the Promotional Discount process, including dotted line oversight of offshore resources to support the day to day process requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of Promo Discount process - ensuring completeness and proper accounting, training and oversight of India resource who supports the day to day tasks
  • Manage Care Credit controllership processes - including review of contracts to ensure proper accounting, timely issuance of contractual payments, managing automated workflows, supporting Finance/Marketing managers to ensure all contractual obligations are identified
  • Provide direct support to Manager for the automated invoice process
  • Prepare and review monthly contractual incentives/invoices for assigned clients to ensure compliance with client program agreements
  • Participate in monthly financial close process
  • Support account reconciliation process as needed
  • Review of monthly dashboards. Research variances as needed
  • Identify and drive implementation of process improvements and controllership initiatives
  • Maintain high-level and detailed process maps for client accounting processes. Develop process documentation as needed. Maintain and enhance existing SOP's as dictated by corporate requirements
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or in lieu of degree, 5-7 years' equivalent accounting experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with Oracle, Fiserv, OFDW, TRECS, Hyperion, SharePoint (particularly workflows)
  • Working knowledge of Promotional Discount process as it relates to controllership
  • Prior client accounting experience working with retail partners and managing contractual deliverables, as well as working knowledge of automated invoice process
  • Demonstrates perspective and critical thinking that is cross functional, extending beyond immediate area
  • Experience with monthly Close process and account reconciliations
  • Strong team player - critical for success in this role
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work cross functionally with all levels on the organization
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple assignments and work effectively under time constraints
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, develop appropriate action plans, and deliver solutions
  • Ability to communicate concisely and effectively

Grade/Level: 10

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Some positions are bonus eligible.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
