Role Summary/Purpose :
Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Performance Media and Creative Organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within this organization, our Earned Media Team is focused on growth and engagement by identifying and seizing holistic opportunities within Social, SEO and Content. We are seeking a results-driven and dynamic Associate Vice President (AVP) for Social Media to develop, execute and continually optimize a comprehensive social media strategy, supporting business units across the enterprise. This role will actively explore, execute, and optimize relevant earned social campaigns including work within Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Pinterest.
We're proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work from home, or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.
An online electronic portfolio or writing samples are required as part of this application process, and it must include at least three examples of your work.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategic roadmap and vision plan for Social, as a key tool for engagement, brand awareness and conversions to the Synchrony brand and lines of business.
- Build and execute holistic social media strategy and content through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, core messaging and audience identification.
- Manage enterprise social calendar and publishing schedule.
- Engage in regular KPI reporting to integrate and measure the value and impact of our social media marketing efforts and opportunities and demonstrate the value of social media to the wider organization and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing teams across the enterprise to create content ideas to help grow social audience, user engagement, website traffic, SEO objectives and overall business objectives.
- Protect and optimize brand equity with consistency in voice, messaging, and approach across all social content in partnership with VP of Content, Creative Directors and Corporate Brand.
- Ideate and collaborate in the development of an enterprise-level content calendar that spans our lines of business.
- Manage multiple projects under deadline pressures.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree. In lieu of degree, HS Diploma/GED and 5+ years social experience with in-depth expertise across multiple platforms (e.g. Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat)
- 2+ years of organic social or social community management experience with in-depth expertise across multiple platforms (e.g. Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Snapchat)
- Experience in social strategy, planning and execution for both awareness and engagement campaigns
- Experience with translating client marketing goals to social strategy
- Experience in social creative, content & production by channel, tone of voice, visual ID and social media messaging strategies.
- Experience developing measurement plans with analytics, understanding and communicating the complex data challenges of social media platforms
- Stellar communication and storytelling skills, including good spelling and grammar.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience working on B2C and B2B campaigns; working in financial healthcare or retail categories a plus.
- Excellent team building and collaborative skills; flexibility to pivot with strategy, regulatory and market evolution alongside cross channel teams to create holistic solutions
- Must have a deep understanding of each social media platform; corresponding rules/laws, changing offering/news/analytical tools and publishing
- Sprinklr experience a plus
- Advanced skills in Excel and PPT are essential as well as strong business writing skills.
- Detail oriented and organized with the ability to juggle competing demands and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Self-driven with key critical thinking ability.
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- N ew hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
