Job Description Summary

As the Technology Consulting leader you’ll lead our Development Acceleration organization and initiatives. You'll be responsible for driving innovation, efficiencies, and best practices across Technology (including our engineering teams). You'll lead the Technology Consulting organization in defining, promoting and delivering the enterprise technology direction, through the creation of documentation, pattern identification, accelerator development and providing direct technology consulting. Your teams will be responsible for creating and managing enterprise guidance and accelerators.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures the execution of Technology's strategy is alignment with the company's strategy by overseeing the development and implementation of a broad range ideas regarding business analysis, systems analysis, applications development, quality assurance, and testing capabilities.

  • Responsible for providing technology consulting services through the enhancement of development lines ability to deliver specified results for their business partners, customers and producers by staying up-to-date on new technology, trends and best practices.

  • Oversees all aspects of technical module, application, and prototype development, including specifications, programming, testing, and tooling.

  • Oversees one or more aspects of the software development life cycle.

  • Oversees a team responsible for the planning, development and implementation of strategies related to the software development life cycle. Directs a team involved with the evaluation and consultation of technical solutions for software development life cycle problems and issues.

  • Responsible for overall consulting budget, allocation of resources and adherence to recovery targets.

  • Responsible for applying secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Leads all aspects of associate management, including performance, salary administration, training, and development, hiring, day-to-day management and corrective actions.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.  

 

Reporting Relationships: Reporting Relationships: Reports to VP, Technology Leader. May be responsible for 10+ direct reports and numerous indirect reports. 

 

Typical Skills and Experiences:  

 

Education: Undergraduate studies MIS, CIS, or related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 

 

Experience: Ten or more years of experience in Information Systems leadership. Prior experience with large, complex and multi-disciplinary projects. 

 

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of Infrastructure is a definite differentiation. Successfully led organizations through both operational and growth challenges. Able to apply & optimize resources and technologies prudently. Experience overseeing and managing third-party vendor solutions. Proven application development knowledge / delivery expertise leveraging Lean, Agile and CMMI constructs for enterprise scale development efforts across a variety of technical domains. Demonstrated Relationship Management capabilities. Proven ability to lead, supervise, motivate and develop employees. 

 

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.  

 

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and Human Resource Business Partner.

Working Conditions: Hybrid to normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
