AWS Cloud Architect

Nimbus is looking for a seasoned AWS Certified Cloud Architect to augment our technical team that serves the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and supports AWS Cloud Migration. In this position, you will identify best practices and document them for the ADOs, AWS Asset tagging, Naming, Terraform modules, templates, guidance documents, and Support IaaC architecture implementations.

Specifically:

We are looking for a Technical Architect with AWS experience to provide technical support in developing and demonstrating practices and procedures that would promote the reuse of the Enterprise resources. The candidate will provide expertise for tasks such as the following:

Define and support CMS in implementing changes to how CMS applications are developed and architected as cloud-based applications.

- Conduct architecture analysis and provide solutions that:
- Optimize CMS cloud applications or provide re-engineering recommendations for the cloud environment
- Provide and support cloud computing application framework to serve as CMS cloud application standards for other system integrators to leverage.

- Assess transitions to ensure continued operational capability and capacity is maintained and supported

- Align with CMS technical architectures

- AWS Cost optimization strategies, tactics, and implementation
- Platform as a Service (PaaS)/Identity Federation (Single Sign On)
- Best practices for running serverless architecture

Requirements

Technical expertise on AWS and its offered services (Lambda, Athena, EC2, S3, Asset tagging, Naming, templatization to name a few)
