Job Description

Team: IT

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer in the United States.

This role is a hands-on cloud engineering position focused on designing, building, and operating secure, scalable, and highly available AWS environments that support mission-critical applications. You will work across infrastructure, security, DevOps, and application teams to deliver resilient cloud-native platforms that meet enterprise-grade requirements. The position involves deep technical ownership of cloud architecture, automation, observability, and performance optimization across complex distributed systems. You will help define and implement best practices for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud governance. The environment is fast-paced and engineering-driven, with strong emphasis on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. This is an opportunity to shape cloud infrastructure at scale while driving continuous improvement and modernization initiatives.

Accountabilities:

You will design, implement, and operate enterprise-scale AWS cloud environments with a strong focus on automation, reliability, security, and performance.

  • Architect and manage scalable AWS environments across core services such as compute, networking, storage, and identity management.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK with strong version control and automation practices.
  • Design secure multi-account AWS architectures, including landing zones, centralized logging, and governance frameworks.
  • Develop and operate containerized platforms using services such as Amazon EKS and Amazon ECS.
  • Implement secure networking architectures including VPC design, routing, VPN, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS-native services.
  • Design and implement observability solutions using monitoring, logging, and tracing tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Strengthen cloud security posture through IAM design, encryption strategies, and compliance enforcement.
  • Drive disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and cross-region resilience testing.
  • Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash, or Go to improve operational efficiency and incident response.
  • Partner with engineering and security teams to guide cloud-native architecture decisions and best practices.
  • Contribute to cost optimization initiatives and FinOps-driven cloud efficiency improvements.

  • Requirements:

You bring strong AWS expertise, deep infrastructure engineering experience, and a strong focus on automation, security, and scalable system design.

    • 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, with strong production experience in AWS environments.
    • Hands-on expertise with core AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFront.
    • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
    • Proven experience designing and operating container platforms such as Amazon EKS or Amazon ECS.
    • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity management, and encryption best practices.
    • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines across infrastructure and application deployments.
    • Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash (Go or PowerShell is a plus).
    • Experience implementing observability, monitoring, and alerting in distributed cloud environments.
    • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills in cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to design systems with strong focus on scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary aligned with experience
      • Full-time W2 employment with long-term stability
      • 100% remote work across the United States
      • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
      • Paid time off and holidays
      • 401(k) retirement savings plan
      • Opportunity to work on large-scale AWS cloud-native architectures
      • Exposure to advanced DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering practices
      • Strong focus on automation, security, and continuous improvement
      • Collaborative engineering culture with mentorship and growth opportunities
