AWS Dev Ops - Software Engineering
Job Description
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with cloud infrastructure support, primarily AWS, Java ecosystem and associated tools
- Build infrastructure code repositories using frameworks like Terraform.
- Using cloud services like dockers, EKS and Helm charts for deployment.
- Experience with AWS Databases - RDS Oracle, postgress
- Setting up Alerts/Monitoring using cloud services like Splunk, Datadog and Xray
- Experience with highly available applications, built upon messaging, microservices and or event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes. Understanding of a software/platform as a service offering .
- Understanding of architecture and design across heterogeneous systems
- Proven experience in support of REST API interfaces, SQL, Spring Boot and messaging technologies like Kafka, MQ and SQS (Simple Queue Service)
- Experience with performance tuning of applications using various tools and techniques.
- Excellent analytical, communication, self starter, motivated, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic
- Ability to collaborate with team members and individuals across the global technology
- Understanding of Agile/Kanban delivery principles
- Drive a measure everything approach through standardized telemetry in order to drive improved alerting, decision making, analysis, error budgeting, and various optimizations.
- Responsible for the security, availability, performance, change/ incident management, telemetry, and capacity management
- Facilitate application modernization through DevOps and CI/CD tool chain adoption and implementation
A big plus if proven support experience with
- Syndicated loan trading and/or servicing
- UI/UX (React JS, Angular or equivalent), web technologies (JavaScript, CSS)
