Job Description

The main purpose of this job is senior technical expert responsibility for design and implementation of an assigned technology.

About the project

The BCO Service Hub is the reliable partner for the operational stability of Deutsche Telekom IT. In order to increase the availability of IT systems, it provides and operates processes, methods and tools for the customers. The portfolio includes various monitoring solutions, development services, central process support (e.g. ITIL processes like Incident management, Change management, Lead Problem management) and 24x7 Business Monitoring. These produce vast amount of logs, data and metrics, and our aim is to utilize them via home made solutions (applications) based on big data, analytics, AI and much more, which give customer operational teams better understanding on what's going on inside their environment, helps them to understand week points and prevent future outages by deep correlation and analysis.

We are dedicated to building a robust, scalable, and cost-optimized solutions on AWS and GCP. This foundation enable us to utilize a wide range of services and products.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Key Tasks:

• Platform Design: Design and implement a highly reliable and scalable cloud platform with a focus on AWS and GCP.
• Policy Development: Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistent framework application across the company.
• Security Focus: Integrate security and privacy guidelines into the design of the landing zone.
• Networking Infrastructure: Configure and manage networking components.
• Automation: Build automated deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
• Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor network components, self-provisioning services, policy violations, and suspicious activities that may be security-relevant.
• Operational Excellence: Operate and maintain the platform, ensuring availability, stability, and performance through appropriate infrastructure architecture and sustainable incident response practices.

Responsibilities:

• Agile Collaboration: Work closely within and with other teams in the hub following an agile methodologies, SCRUM and SAFe
• DevOps Mindset: Embrace a DevOps and continuous improvement approach to work.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices, making recommendations to help the team and organization excel.

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

• Hands-on Experience: Demonstrated experience in architecting, designing, developing, deploying, and operating on AWS and GCP
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in at least three of the following areas:
  • Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
  • Databases (SQL, NoSQL, AWS/GCP-specific databases)
  • Networking (network design, load balancing, troubleshooting, DNS, VPNs, distributed networks, cloud integration)
  • Containerization (K8S)
  • Monitoring (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus)
  • Platform Security & Policies (Technical/IT security)
  • Programming Languages (Java, Python, Golang, or Node.js)
  • Version Control & CI/CD Tools (Git, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline)
• Language Proficiency: English fluency
• Personal Attributes:
  • Curiosity and interest in emerging technologies, particularly cloud, agile methods, and DevOps.
  • Willingness to explore new territories, learn from mistakes, and share knowledge within the team.
  • High intrinsic motivation and a collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to present and communicate ideas, particularly in visual formats.

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will vary and will not be lower than 2200 € /brutto.
