Job Title: Architect – Cloud & FinOps

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Architect in the Cloud & FinOps area to join our organization. As an Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet our organization's business needs but also responsible for establishing and maintaining effective FinOps frameworks. Apart from defining policies for our own, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to FinOps policies, practices, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Cloud, governance principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight, support, and execution of key areas such as financial modeling, cost growth projections, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Prepare and present monthly financial updates to executive-level audiences.
• Accurately forecast infra/platform resource needs, headcounts and track performance.
• Consult with management on cloud operating budgets and/or chargeback to internal customers.
• Present business reviews on cost performance/budget considerations on a regular basis to senior management.
• Ensure the processing and management of all financing deals in compliance with legal documentation.
• Prepare and Review RFI and RFP documents for potential onboarding or performance tracking of new/existing vendors for all engagements.
• Develop and implement FinOps governance frameworks and processes, aligning them with industry best practices and organizational goals.
• Influence design and implementation of cloud-based architecture decisions, including infrastructure, platforms software services based on various cost optimization techniques to meet business requirements.
• Assess existing infrastructure and applications to identify Cost optimization opportunities for cloud migration, modernization and optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including Application Owners, IS Owners, Program managers, SRE/DevOps teams and Business users, to gather requirements and define cloud cost optimization strategies.
• Explore and engage with vendors/partners to understand their products/services and adopt those aligning within the Global FinOps Governance.
• Focal point of contact for all software license, marketplace products and similar procurements in coordination with legal and risk assessment teams.
• Prepare and present reports on FinOps/Governance performance, risks, and compliance to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in similar roles across several industries with domain expertise.
• Strong understanding of FinOps frameworks
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of governance.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS, Azure, and FinOps are a plus.
