AWS Solutions Architect

Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS Solutions Architect Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services and architecture and Security best practices, along with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex cloud solutions for enterprise clients. Candidate will have expertise in cloud architecture, migration, and deployment, as well as experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation. Responsibilities

1. Design and architect cloud-based solutions on AWS that meet business requirements.

2. Implement and manage highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.

3. Migrate existing applications and infrastructure to AWS.

4. Ensure scalability, security, and efficiency of cloud-based solutions.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects.

6. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

7. Conduct assessments of existing cloud environments and provide recommendations for optimization and improvement.

8. Develop and maintain technical documentation.

9. Stay up-to-date with AWS services and best practices, and industry trends.

10. Provides Tier 1-3 help desk support in a 100+ Server and user environment that consists of Windows 2019 servers and Windows 10/11 clients in a professional and timely manner.

11. Responds to help desk requests via phone and online help desk system and follow-through on all assigned tickets to meet/exceed client expectations.

12. Assists in the planning and implementation of systems recovery & disaster recovery.

13. Follows information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.

14. Manages Virtual Infrastructure Hosts and virtual servers based on Microsoft Hyper-V technologies.

15. Regularly contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.

16. Apply expertise and possess knowledge of related disciplines.

17. Conduct seminars and presentations on topics of interest to the Center for Information Technology Group

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and migration.

2. AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification.

3. Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.)

4. Experience with cloud deployment and management tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudWatch).

5. Strong understanding of security and compliance best practices.

6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

7. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

8. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

9. System/network administration in a Windows server and client environment.

10. Virtualization Hyper-V etc.

11. Technical professional with 5 years of system/network administration experience primarily in a Windows 2016/2019 & Windows 10/11 environment.

12. Technical professional experience with Office 365 Enterprise, Stand alone and Hybrid environments.

13. Microsoft DPM

14. AWS and Azure cloud operations.
