Azure Architect (Fully Remote)

Our organization is currently undergoing a major transition from a LAN-based network to an Azure-based cloud infrastructure. As an Azure Architect, you will play a critical role in this transition by designing, implementing, and maintaining our new cloud environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• At least 3+ years of experience with Azure, 5 years preferred
• Experience managing Azure, as well as 1-2 years of experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions with vendors such as Azure and AWS
• Experience with RedHat Linux and Windows system administration is a plus, as is experience with SQL Server
• Familiarity with a range of IT operations, including budgeting, business continuity, data management, disaster recovery, governance, identity, networking, and security
• Familiarity with Azure administration, Azure development, or DevOps
• Experience working with networking components such as DNS, LAN/WAN technology, as well as components like switches, routers, and firewalls is a plus
• Experience with CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment)
• Experience working with and setting up Azure AD, SSRS, Azure Application Gateway, and Azure SQL Server
• Programming/scripting experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement an Azure-based cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and reliable
• Develop and maintain architecture standards and best practices for Azure-based solutions
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Develop and implement a disaster recovery plan to ensure business continuity in the event of a service disruption
• Optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of our cloud infrastructure through continuous monitoring and optimization
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Azure-based solutions with other systems and applications
• Provide guidance and support to development teams in the use of Azure services and technologies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for data security and privacy
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in Azure technology and provide recommendations for new solutions and improvements
• Work with networking components such as DNS, LAN/WAN technology, as well as components like switches, routers, and firewalls
• Develop training programs and produce related documentation
• Help maintain Azure solution and provide support to internal teams
