Azure Cloud Engineer

Role: Senior Cloud Engineer

We are hiring a full-time Senior Cloud Engineer to join our IT team in Austin, TX, with a minimum of 5 years of experience designing and implementing modern cloud services.

• Deep knowledge of major cloud technologies including virtualization, containers, networking, storage, security, etc. on different cloud platforms and additional knowledge or experience in the areas of IT and/or cloud technology architecture, service management and/or resiliency is a plus.
• Architecture and design method champion to gather and analyze requirements, design and implement specific solutions. Expert level understanding of conceptual, logical and physical design stages.
• Led detailed design sessions to outline a backlog of implementation tasks managed through an agile process and backlog management including stand-ups, grooming, and retrospectives.
• DevOps tool chain deployment, establish CI/CD tools, code repository, code scanning, artifact repo, compliance scanning, packaging, deployment, and configuration management.
• Designing and documenting detailed and implementable architectures for Azure cloud platforms.
• Work with business analysts and application developers to understand infrastructure, automation and operational requirements and build a backlog to enable the solution.
• Provide engineering leadership and mentor cloud engineers on projects.
• Prepare and lead technical presentations or demonstrations to gain client commitment.
• Own the design and implementation of specific technologies and components of the architecture.
• Contribute to architecture knowledge base and methods with technique papers, work product descriptions, architectural decisions, guiding principles, documents, and code assets.
• Lead design reviews to capture learnings and update methodologies and assets.

• 5+ years of experience with best practices, architecture, design, development, and implementation of cloud solutions on Azure platforms.
• Strong knowledge of IBM Cloud
• Microsoft Azure Certified Required
• Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC
• Working knowledge of Nutanix, Cisco, Colocation Data Centers, Palo Alto, and Managed Services.
