Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Overview

The Azure Data Engineer will analyze, design and implement solutions on Aclara's analytics platform for internal and external customers. As our business continues to grow, we need more insight into the data and to ensure the data is flowing continuously.

What You Will Do

• Analysis and Design: Analyze and design solutions on Aclara's analytics platform for both internal and external customers.
• Implementation: Implement solutions on the Azure platform, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Use artificial intelligence or machine learning to extract insights from structured and unstructured data sources.
• Data Modeling: Design and develop data models and data structures for effective data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
• Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including internal and external systems, to provide a comprehensive view of the data.
• Optimization: Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Testing and Deployment: Test and deploy solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and are ready for production.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for data solutions.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or business-related field
• Strong background in Azure Data Engineering, including experience with data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Experience working in Azure based deployments (Batch/Real-Time) leveraging Azure SQL, Databricks, ADLS, Blob Storage, ADF, Azure Stream Analytics, etc.
• Experience with one or more of the follow scripting languages: Python, SQL, Kafka and/or other.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
