DevOps Lead Engineer

Are you an Azure DevOps Engineer who wants to work in a high volume build environment supporting Global Corporate IT Operations?  Do you like orchestrating processes from scripts and automation to full DevOps builds?  Our Cloud Solutions team is hiring an DevOps Lead Engineer to help us build the next phases of our Global IT Infrastructure and grow our expanding team of professionals.

THIS IS A FULLY REMOTE OPPORTUNITY, but job seekers must currently reside in Serbia.

About You:

  • You are an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer who can lead the architecture and delivery of builds/deployments across a Global System.
  • You have strong Azure Artefacts Skills along with Octopus Deployment tool.
  • You can take design documents and specifications from plan to build, offering suggestions for efficiencies.
  • You can work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with Global team partners.

About The Role:

As a DevOps Lead Engineer (DLE)  with Precision Medicine Group you will oversee and lead the activities of DevOps in all departments and business units.  The DLE is a hands-on technical role that directs and implements the automation of all manual tasks for the building and deployment of code, data, and other assets. 

This position will enable and be an evangelist of continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) across the organization.  This individual will automate development and infrastructure processes so that we can seize opportunities without compromising quality.

The DLE will interact with application development teams, product owners, infrastructure architects, and other business stakeholders to review / identify and then implement processes that eliminate or reduce the need for manual intervention. 

The ideal candidate will champion the DevOps culture and be the change agent to help to foster a cultural shift in the software delivery process. Along with automation, they will focus on improving communication, collaboration that facilitate iterative improvement.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • 5+ years developing and implementing DevOps solutions
  • 2+ years experience with infrastructure management and monitoring.
  • 2+ years experience with system automation and deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps Platform tooling including Octopus administration and implementation
  • Experience working with a team following Agile software development lifecycle practices
  • Experience working with various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google)
  • Master of CI/CD/Build pipelines and DevOps concepts
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming (C#, VB .NET, Java, Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • Understanding of scripting languages (PowerShell, Node, etc.)
  • Understanding of concepts and tooling for containerization and orchestration (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes)
