Azure Engineer

Job Description:

As a Data Engineer/Developer will work with multiple teams to deliver solutions on the Azure Cloud using core Azure cloud tools/languages. In addition will participate in building the next generation of application and/or data platforms and/or improving recent implementations. (This is not an infrastructure position).

Essential Job Functions

• Work as part of a team tdevelop Azure Cloud Applications, work with Big Data Cloud Data and Analytics solutions
• Participate in development of cloud SQL data warehouses, data as a service, business intelligence solutions
• Complex Py-spark Coding
• Creation of Pipelines
• Transforming data ta more gradual level
• Data wrangling of heterogeneous data
• Ability tprovide solutions that are forward-thinking in data and analytics
• Work Eastern Standard Time Hours
• Delivery a quality product

Basic Qualifications

• 2-3 years hand on experience with Azure
• Broad depth of knowledge of the Azure environment
• Azure Data Lake
• Azure Data Factory
• Data Bricks Foundation (Spark, Java, etc.)
• Py-Spark Coding - simple tcomplex
• Hive
• SQL DW (in Azure)
• Proven experience with creating applications in Azure, working with legacy application for data migration could be business application such as HR/Payroll or legacy data warehousing (oracle, SQL, MF DB2)
• Data ingestion and data profiling intAzure
• Data Mapping from source tcloud
• Excellent written and verbal skills (English)
• Flexible
• Self-Starter
• Detailed
• Team Player or individual contributor
• MS Office (excel, word, visio, etc.)

Other Qualifications

• Proficient in a source code control system such as GIT
• Understands capability of Informatica with Azure
• PL/SQL
• Transaction (Stored procedures)
• Ability tperform complex coding
• Logic Apps
• Data Mapping from source tcloud

Work Environment

• Office environment
• May require shift or weekend work
