Azure Solution Architect

Job Overview:

As an Azure Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in our technology strategy, designing and implementing innovative cloud and AI solutions that align with our business goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Architecture: Design end-to-end Azure solutions that meet business needs, including architecture, infrastructure, and application design, with a focus on AI and advanced Azure services.
• AI Integration: Lead initiatives involving Azure OpenAI, AI Search, and other AI powered services to drive intelligent solutions across the organization.
• Azure Resource Management: Oversee the deployment and management of Azure resources, ensuring optimal configuration, scalability, and performance.
• Application Insights & Monitoring: Utilize AppInsights to monitor application performance, diagnose issues, and optimize user experience.
• Data Solutions: Design and implement data solutions using Cosmos DB, ensuring data availability, consistency, and scalability.
• Cloud Strategy & Planning: Develop cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring strategies.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure that all solutions comply with security and compliance standards, implementing best practices for security, governance, and data protection.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve existing cloud architecture for efficiency, performance, and cost effectiveness.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with developers, system engineers, and stakeholders to ensure technical compatibility and end-user satisfaction.
• Technical Expertise & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to the technical team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years as a Solution Architect focused on Azure.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing Azure solutions including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Expertise in AI technologies, including Azure OpenAI, AI Search, and machine learning models.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), and Azure Active Directory.
• Experience with monitoring and analytics tools, especially AppInsights, to drive performance optimization.
• Proven experience in designing data architectures with Cosmos DB.
• Expertise in cloud security, networking, storage, monitoring, and automation tools (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform, PowerShell).
• Proven experience in migrating complex on-premises workloads to Azure.
• Solid understanding of cloud governance, compliance, and security best practices.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-based applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Experience in cost management and optimization in cloud environments.
