Azure Specialist

• Advise internal/external stakeholders how to use cloud technology and remote networks to meet business objectives. 

• Interact with project leads and technical stakeholders. 

• Assist as needed, together with the support team. 

• Provide hands-on services where required. 

• Provide assistance with technical issues, escalations and resolution. 

• Conduct compliance assessments of controls for in-scope systems, including remediation assessments and audit-readiness assessments. 

• Keep up to date with technology trends. 

• Acquire the required Azure technical certifications and experience in order to apply it to further cases and projects. 

• Provide subject-matter expertise on SOC2 requirements and partner with technical teams to execute and monitor controls related to compliance initiatives. 

• Identify control deficiencies and maintain records of deficiency details, including management response documentation and exposure check evidence. 

• Drive remediation activities with stakeholders, including developing remediation plans, tracking, and reporting remediation progress. 

• Work with incident response (IR) team members as a communication commander to gather forensic evidence for investigations and remediation. 

• Perform continuous monitoring activities and track control health metrics. 

• Support evidence collection/documentation and lead efforts related to internal and external audits, including SOC2 Assessments. 

• Maintain the System Security Plan (SSP), Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M), and other associated documentation. 

• Participate in Continuous Monitoring Program 

• Perform continuous security audit, report findings and provide recommendations to the Chief Technology Officer. 

Required skills/qualifications:   

• 3-4 years of experience with Microsoft Azure. 

• 7-10 years of experience in systems administration. 

• Understanding of industry-standard system architecture and system management tools. 

• Knowledge of IPsec, Nats, VPN technology. 

• An understanding of security principles and other associated cloud control. 

• Experience with Azure design, migration, support and ongoing management. 

• Experience in setting up Azure AD integration across organization-wide applications, and systems that include Office 365, on-prem servers and beyond. 

• Experience with cloud services - e.g. Azure 

• Knowledge of backup technologies and disaster recovery concepts. 

• Knowledge of virtual application delivery technologies and virtual desktop infrastructures. 

• Automation skills & experience (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, etc). 

• Proven ability to learn and adopt to new technologies. 

• Good communications skills.

• Microsoft Certification AZ-104 Azure Administrator  

• Experience and knowledge of analyzing/debugging tools (Fiddler, Postman, SoapUI) are beneficial. 

• Experience working with deployment automation configuration management technologies  

• Experience in cloud deployment templating using offerings such as ARM, CloudFormation Google Deployment Manager, and/or Terraform is beneficial. 

• Certificate AZ-400 Microsoft Azure DevOps Solutions is beneficial. 

• Certificate AZ-500 Microsoft Azure Security Technologies is beneficial.
