Job Description
I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
The B2B Copywriter, Transactional Content, plays a key role in the Bizrate Insights marketing team. The ideal candidate will be a talented wordsmith with a passion for crafting persuasive copy that drives conversions, engages customers, and enhances the user experience.
As the B2B Copywriter, Transactional Content, you are responsible for creating compelling content across multiple channels, including email campaigns, landing pages, social media, and digital advertisements. The ideal candidate has experience writing B2B content and a thorough understanding of how contact impacts and influences marketing and sales decisions. You are a strong writer who is skilled at developing content that drives qualified traffic, generates leads, and contributes to the overall marketing team's efforts.
This role reports directly to the VP of Marketing.
II. Essential Job Functions | Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
- Develop and execute persuasive copy for various transactional materials, including email campaigns, landing pages, product descriptions, advertisements, and social media content.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to write sales drip campaigns and marketing automation nurtures that support their needs.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted and personalized content that aligns with the company's overall marketing strategy, drives conversions, and generates leads.
- Conduct A/B testing and perform content optimization to increase traffic and conversions, improve the lifetime value of content, and drive demand generation.
- Assist Content team with blog posts, whitepapers, guides, sales sheets, case studies, product sheets, infographics, and web copy for B2B audiences.
- Edit and proofread content to ensure it is free of errors, aligns with brand guidelines, and maintains a consistent tone and voice.
- Track performance of output and deliver regular reports to team leaders
- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) and conversion rates (CRO) to drive organic traffic and increase customer engagement.
- Work cross-functionally with design and digital teams to bring content pieces to life and develop social media messaging.
- Research relevant topics, stay informed on industry trends, and develop ongoing reports for ongoing marketing efforts.
- Use customer personas, detailed data analytics, and leverage experience in marketing automation, lead generation, and lead nurturing to maximize the impact of content.
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field or equivalent training and/or experience
Experience: 4+ years of proven experience as a transactional copywriter with experience in B2B marketing, technology, or SaaS. Ecommerce, retail, or loyalty experience and understanding a plus.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Transactional copywriting
- Google Analytics/Reporting
- Fundamentals of SEO

Pay Range
Salary: $72000 - $90000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
