B2B Demand Generation Copywriter
Job Description
We're looking for a demand generation copywriter to join our growing team. As a B2B demand generation copywriter you will be primarily responsible for copywriting to support our fast-growing demand generation marketing team. You will be a core part of building our integrated campaigns and translating brand, persona, and product messaging into short-form and long-form copy and content that will be used across digital advertising, organic social, email, offline channels, website, etc. You're most likely to be successful in this role if you are a motivated self-starter, a creative thinker who understands the B2B buyer journey, have a strong track record of writing copy that inspires audience engagement, and can work well cross-functionally and with a team to bring campaign and demand gen messaging to life.
Requirements
- 5 + years in-house or agency experience writing for a media/B2B company or brand (SAAS strongly preferred)
- Excellent writing and editing skills with demonstrated experience in conceptual writing in marketing/advertising, web, product, brand messaging, and promotional copy
- Experience with working on marketing and advertising campaigns, including print, PPC, display, email, print, and social media
- Can easily prioritize, multi-task, organize, and time-manage within a large multi-tiered project.
- Ability to take creative direction and to work collaboratively with cross-functionally with multiple designers, functional managers, and product marketing managers
- Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively
- Strong presentation and verbal communication skills
- Hootsuite and Wordpress experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Responsible for copy for digital and print communications including integrated campaigns, digital advertising (including paid search, display and native advertising, LinkedIn, Facebook/Instagram, preroll), landing pages, brochures, websites, sales ideas, social media, email, infographics, advertising, direct mail, newsletters, presentations and videos.
- Write in a clear and concise manner across all of the stages of the customer journey (attract, engage, convert, win) while maintaining quality control by adhering to clarity, proper grammar, style, tone, process, and legal requirements.
- Understand marketing plans, including objectives and strategies, and how success will be measured. Partner with the creative team and participate in strategic and tactical meetings and provide insightful ideas through keen knowledge of MessageGears business objectives, brand, consumer, and competitive landscape.
- Translate complex B2B ideas and high-level messaging across multiple buyer personas into insightful, compelling and consistent concepts and writing
- Work collaboratively with graphic designers to combine content with design concepts.
- Share best practices with the team on industry trends, strategies, and techniques ensuring the team stays at the forefront of copy and content innovation.
- Maintain our organic social media presence through HootSuite
