Job Description VP, B2B Media Strategy
As a leader in our Media Strategy group, within the broader media team, this role is responsible for maintaining focus on 3 key pillars with an emphasis on the B2B space:
  1. Long Term Corporate Strategy - evaluating the changing finance landscape, identifying opportunity spaces, and ensuring JPMC is positioned to win in the future
  2. Internal Consulting - partnering with JPMC's B2B lines of businesses to strategize for growth and performance
  3. Innovation - cooperating with internal and external teams to enable JPMC to innovate around profound and actionable B2B stakeholder and decision maker insights

Key responsibilities at a glance:
  • Work closely with the data and analytics team to establish strategic application benefits, attribution and optimization models and best practices
  • Transform data into strategic themes across all media channels that guide our approach to key initiatives, including cross-product organic growth, annual investment plans, etc.
  • Synthesize quantitative (e.g. internal performance data, market analysis, decision maker trends, economic conditions, etc.) and qualitative (e.g. competitive strategies, intelligence from adjacent categories, winning work etc.) materials to establish strategic and tactical measures to support long-term growth initiatives and firm-wide performance imperatives
  • Lead 'internal-consulting' projects that explore, evaluate, and recommend strategies and tactics that support priorities across various B2B Lines of Business
  • Be the champion for the B2B stakeholder audience; develop structures and processes to assess their behaviors as well as avenues for receptivity, outlining implications for JPMC
  • Broker world class work from our agency partners
  • Take ownership of all technologies/memberships used to facilitate access to the data; ensuring we are always evaluating what we have versus what is available
  • Provide mentorship and direction to junior team members, and contribute to the Media team's collective toolkit to continually enhance our effectiveness as an organization

Qualifications and skills:
  • Experience working in B2B marketing consulting or media required - ideally in both SMB marketing and large enterprise B2B marketing
  • Experience dealing with complex organizations; technology and/or financial service categories preferred.
  • 10 plus years of agency and/ or big brand experiences in a strategic leadership role
  • Body of work showcasing contribution to strategic thinking in market that delivered demonstrable change/ performance
  • Expert command of media research resources; applications, capabilities, limitations
  • Data-centric mindset with the agility to understand, substantiate and adapt
  • Ability to work cross-functionality with multiple internal stakeholders and prioritize work accordingly
