We are seeking a proactive, skilled Back-End API Developer with a strong foundation in microservices and API development to join our team.
This role is perfect for a developer who is passionate about maintaining high-quality code, committed to collaborative teamwork, and eager to tackle technical challenges.
Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining APIs, managing existing codebases, writing and updating queries, conducting code reviews, and shepherding your pull requests through our company's pipeline.
We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities, who can clearly convey complex ideas and work well with others.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable APIs to support our backend services.
- Manage and optimize existing codebases for performance and reliability.
- Write and update queries, ensuring efficient backend functionalities.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality and provide constructive feedback.
- Shepherd your pull requests through our company’s pipeline, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality at each step.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with microservices architecture.
- Strong background in service and Web API design and implementation.
- Proven track record of writing maintainable, scalable code.
- Experience with automated testing and documentation.
- Familiarity with SOLID principles and software development best practices.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in: Java (versions 8–17), Spring, SQL, and JUnit.
- Familiarity with: AWS, gRPC, Mockito (or other mocking frameworks), and Docker.
- Nice to Have: Git, Kotlin, Grafana, Jenkins, Swagger.
- Optional Front-End Knowledge: React, TypeScript, Redux, HTML/CSS/SASS, Webpack, Jest, Cypress, React-Router, React-Query, TailwindCSS, Highcharts, Eslint/Prettier, Yarn.
- Experience working in: Scrum environments.
