Your Role and Responsibilities
You will be part of a team whose mission is to prototype test and release new technologies for the world. As a talented backend developer you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary global team of architects designers and developers in IBM’s Quantum Cloud Software to bring new features to life. You will put your extensive knowledge into providing innovative solutions to our API development. You are passionate and take pride in your work; you are involved in developer communities and open-source projects. If you are self-motivated curious and love to code we have the right opportunity for you!


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years experience in writing high-quality code in a modern Object Oriented programming language.
  • Experienced in backend development with Typescript/ Javascript and Node.js.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic global environment across different time zones.
  • Professional experience in software development focusing on writing maintainable and performant code.
  • Professional experience working in a research-driven environment academics or research product.
  • Willing to dive deep into quantum computing principles and applications.
  • Experience with DevOps and a good understanding of Kubernetes.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience contributing to open-source software.
  • Python Developer skills
  • Familiarity with modern software development best practices and architectural patterns.
  • Familiarity with quantum computing and Qiskit.
