We’re looking for a Backend Developer

 Location: REMOTE MX

Qualifications:

1. Create a simple Node.js TypeScript package repository

-Objective: Develop a pattern for package development, specifically Node package development

-Deliverable: A repo with a simple Node.js TypeScript package that continuously builds and publishes to the GitHub Enterprise Cloud package registry

-Purpose: Enable the development of reusable tooling and components for incoming platform development work

1. Create a GitHub App automation repository

-Objective: Define a standard for creating and maintaining GitHub App automations

-Deliverable: A repo with scripting/automation for defining and managing a GitHub App's scope, permissions, webhooks, and other parameters

-Purpose: Implement an existing pattern (GitHub App metadata) in a repo for standardization and use in sample projects

1. Create a simple Node.js GitHub App integration repository

-Objective: Develop a sample Node.js application that demonstrates GitHub App integrations

-Deliverable: A Node.js app with minimal dependencies and inputs for authentication and integration, such as creating issues or READMEs

-Purpose: Set the standard for GitHub integrations and establish Node.js as the language of choice

Skill Sets

1. Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git and GitHub, is essential for managing repositories and collaborating on projects.
2. Node.js: Proficiency in Node.js is essential for creating and working with TypeScript packages, as well as developing GitHub integrations and applications.
3. TypeScript: Knowledge of TypeScript is required for developing the Node.js TypeScript package and understanding type annotations and interfaces.
4. GitHub API: Understanding of the GitHub API is crucial for developing GitHub integrations and communicating with GitHub services.
5. Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools is necessary for automating package builds and deployments.
