Backend Developer – CICS product development

Introduction
As part of the zSoftware development team you would be developing testing and supporting industry leading integration products that are central to digital transformation for large organizations. You will be part of the TXSeries and CICS TX development team (part of CICS portfolio) which is owned fully by the India Systems Development Lab. Being partof this team will provide an opportunity to drive the growth of zSoftware business hence making a lasting impact on large organizations that have a major impact on world economy.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The CICS development team is looking for software engineers with a real passion for creating solutions to enable enterprise customers to solve business problems. The right candidates will be valued members of the CICS team and will closely work within a multi-disciplined squad in a design led and agile environment to deliver world class quality product enhancements. Software development continues to transform within CICS and across the industry and the right candidates will want to actively engage in these improvements and will get the opportunity to take the highly successful CICS product to the next level. The successful candidates will want to grow their problem solving abilities learn how to apply new technologies to provide solutions to business problems and work within a highly successful team. Candidates will contribute across product development test development and automation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5-9 years of development and/or consulting experience.
• Proven programming and debugging skills in Java OR C
• Effective communication with global and cross functional teams
• Passion to build and work on z/OS application development skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Strong skills and experience with application programming and debugging on z/OS
• Programming skills in PLX / Assembler
• Understanding and experience of CICS application development
• Knowledge of Web Services GitHub and Jenkins/Tekton.
