Backend Developer – CICS TX product development

Introduction
As part of the zSoftware development team you would be developing testing and supporting industry leading integration products that are central to digital transformation for large organizations. You will be part of the TXSeries and CICS TX development team (part of CICS portfolio) which is owned fully by the India Systems Development Lab. Being partof this team will provide an opportunity to drive the growth of zSoftware business hence making a lasting impact on large organizations that have a major impact on world economy.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a software developer you will design and develop new features for TXSeris / CICS TX using IBM and open source based technologies. You will understand and use agile and new development techniques and develop and deliver new capabilities. You will be able to attain deep skills on integration products and CICS systems. You will get an opportunity to work on a wide range of technologies including Docker Kubernetes Operators RedHat OpenShift and a rich product ecosystem around TXSeries and CICS TX products. You will be responsible for developing as well as testing product features and functionalities while also focusing on improving DevOps and documentation aspects.

TXSeries / CICS TX is a key product of the middleware family powering mid-sized enterprise transactions and hybrid cloud-based deployments across banking retail transport and insurance domains. As a member of this product development team you could play a key role in shaping an innovative solution for enterprise and cloud-based deployments.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5-9 years of development and/or consulting experience.
• Proven programming and debugging skills in C
• Experience with UNIX / Linux operating systems and Shell scripting
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Programming skills in Java / C++
• Understanding and experience of Docker Kubernetes Containerization OpenShift
• Knowledge of GitHub and Jenkins/Tekton.
• Desire to build z/OS skills.
