Backend Developer - PHP

• Proven work experience as a developer on apps running in production
• Solid knowledge and experience with PHP (2+ years)
• Work experience with at least one PHP framework (preferably Symfony)
• Work experience with relational databases (MySQL) and Object-Relational Mapping libraries (preferably Doctrine)
• Ability to work comfortably on refactoring and maintaining legacy applications
• Hands-on experience with integrating external systems (through REST APIs)
• Knowledge of version control tools (Git)
• Excellent communication skills: good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory as we are an international team

Nice-to-have

• Experience in writing modern JavaScript (>= ES6)
• Knowledge of additional programming languages/runtimes (e.g. Node.js, TypeScript, Go, Python)
• Experience with managing services on a cloud computing provider (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with serverless computing and related platforms (e.g. AWS Lambda)
• Experience with Test-Driven Development and CI/CD practices
• General front-end knowledge (HTML5, CSS3) and related frameworks (Vue.js)
