Role Overview: Senior Software Engineer – Node.js & Spring Boot

As a Senior Software Engineer in our team, you will be instrumental in building high-performance, scalable backend solutions for our banking applications. Your primary focus will be on Node.js and Spring Boot development, creating seamless, secure, and high-speed services that drive innovation in digital banking. What You’ll Do:

• Work with Node.js:

  • Design and develop efficient backend systems using Node.js.
  • Build APIs and services that can handle large-scale data and transactions for banking applications.

• Leverage Spring Boot:

  • Integrate and develop Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.
  • Ensure smooth interoperability between Node.js services and Spring Boot microservices.

• Design Scalable Systems:

  • Architect backend systems that are scalable, secure, and optimized for high transaction volumes.
  • Ensure our solutions can grow and adapt to meet the needs of the business.

• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in an Agile environment.
  • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and brainstorming sessions.

• Optimize for Speed & Security:

  • Continuously optimize the backend services for low-latency performance and high efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for data security and compliance with industry standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Expert in Node.js:

  • Proven experience with Node.js (using frameworks like Express.js or Nest.js) to build backend applications.

• Spring Boot Knowledge:

  • Experience with Spring Boot for developing Java-based microservices.

• Backend Development Skills:

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and databases (SQL like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL like MongoDB).

• Cloud & Container Experience:

  • Familiar with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and Docker for containerization.

• Agile Methodology Experience:

  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment and familiar with tools like JIRA or Trello.

• Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development, particularly in Node.js.
  • Previous experience in banking, fintech, or high-volume transaction systems is a strong advantage.

• Problem-Solving Mindset:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on building scalable and secure solutions.
