Backend Developer - Working Student

We are the team specializing in transportation services and data processing.

What we do:

DoubleCloud, the creators of the first managed ClickHouse service, offer an open-source data management platform with a single point of access to the services that help build modern data applications— backups, monitoring, shard configurations, replicas, and updates — we handle it all so our clients can focus on their projects rather than routine tasks. 

Transfer - a service for replicating data between various storage and processing systems. It solves tasks such as migrating production databases, delivering data to OLAP warehouses, change-data-capture, archiving, and more. Our engineers are significant contributors to leading open-source technologies like ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Odyssey, WAL-G, and others.

For whom:

Since 2021, we’ve worked with more than 100 companies crunching analytics with various data tools, including Clickhouse, BigQuery, Redshift, MySQL, Postgres and Kafka.

Our services are used both for solving one-time tasks and for building production data delivery and processing systems.

Who we're looking for:

We are seeking a working student (20 hours per week) interested in backend development tasks related to:

• Efficient work with various databases and their internal structure
• Building data processing and storage systems and pipelines
• Distributed systems

Examples of challenges our team faces:

• Evolve exist data connectors
• Implement new connectors to a databases and / or API-source
• API for managing fleet of connectors / databases
• Research and development for new replication techniques

Technologies:

• We code in Go (and a bit in C++)
• We actively use cloud infrastructure, including IaC solutions
• We have expertise in various databases, distributed queues, etc., such as PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, Greenplum, Kafka
