Backend PHP Developer - Payment

SCAYLE Payment is a company driven by the passion to develop the best tech products. Currently we are searching for an experienced & passionate Senior PHP Softwarecrafter (m/f/d) for our Payment Team.

The Payment team is responsible for the complete payment lifecycle from customers first placing their orders within the Checkout to handling the refund of a returned item weeks later. Between these two points the team interacts with a multitude of internal and external players spanning from internal business to other tech teams and multiple payment providers in a variety of countries. The applications the Payment team maintains span from high traffic & fault tolerance API hubs to security-conscious and reliable backend processing engines.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain robust PHP applications within the payment lifecycle

• Work closely with legacy code improving and refactoring to enhance scalability and maintainability.

• Ensure all code meets high-quality standards and adheres to best practices contributing to a sustainable development pace

Who you are

• Minimum of 4 years experience with PHP or a comparable object-oriented language such as Java Ruby and C#.

• Furthermore the willingness to work with PHP (We use PHP 8.3)

• Practical experience developing REST APIs

• Experience working with RDBMS such as MySQL / PostgreSQL

• Previous experience with git

• Experience in writing tests

• Self-motivated and responsible working

Nice to have

• Experience working with messaging systems like SQS Kafka RabbitMQ etc.

• Experience in TDD
