Backend Senior Software Engineer I (Marketplace)

NOTE: This role is hybrid, based out of our Cambridge, MA office. We are eager to find folks that are excited to work in-person, in-office minimally two days per week. 

About the Team:

The Marketplace Product Group connects HubSpot’s customers with goods and services, such as apps, from our partner ecosystem. We both solve for our partners and developers by making it simple to list and distribute products through our marketplaces as well as for end customers by helping them find and adopt the solutions they need to be successful with HubSpot’s platform. 

Come help us build a new platform to support all of our marketplace use cases. We are looking to align the data models and build strong abstractions between the marketplace and HubSpot’s developer platform. You will have an opportunity to help us solve these problems from the ground up and interact with many parts of our engineering organization. This team is crucial to accelerating our platform ambitions and accelerating velocity for all of the teams in our product group. 

As a Senior Engineer, you will:

• Write and ship production code that has meaningful and measurable user and business impact
• Envision, build and analyze new features and tools, each contributing to company growth and revenue
• Work with a small cross functional team of engineers, PMs, designers, content designers, and researchers
• Collaborate with HubSpotters all over the company, whether in engineering, product, design, research, marketing, support, etc
• Help thousands of HubSpot customers meet their goals and grow their companies, stemming from changes you’ve made
• Implement experiments that give us valuable insights into user behavior and how to improve their experience
• Get exposure to how HubSpot works as a business

You may be a fit if:

• A strong backend engineer with experience writing Java
• A bias for ownership, a self-starter, and willingness to dive in & drive work forward
