Backend Software Engineer - Global E-commerce, Supply Chain and Logistics

Global E-commerce is content e-commerce business with international short video product as the carrier. Global E-commerce business team hopes to provide users with more tailored and efficient consumption experience, enabling merchants to receive reliable platform services in different scenarios such as live e-commerce, short video content e-commerce, so as to make more affordable and high-quality products sell easily and a better life within reach.

Our Supply Chain & Logistics team is a key pillar of the Global E-commerce business, responsible for the selection of goods, procurement, warehousing, inventory management and other business modules. It aims to improve customer experience with warehousing, supply chain & logistics technology, empowering merchants to simplify and expand their business worldwide with dependable and trustworthy fulfillment capabilities, so as to to make affordable and high-quality products more accessible, contributing to an improved quality of life for consumers.

Responsibilities:
- Develop efficient, highly scalable and secured services to build/integrate Supply Chain & Logistics system for domestic and global TikTok Shop E-commerce.
- Optimize backend systems and services for data security, modularity, computational efficiency and scalability.
- Deliver best-in-class engineering excellence practices across all product engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- 1 year experience developing highly scalable backend services and systems using at least one of Java/Go/Python/C++.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Delivery Technology, and/or Warehousing.
- Experience in E-commerce and retail related fields.
- Experience in full stack development is a plus.

Job Information

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $100320 - $177840 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
