The Role
As Baking Technologist, you will contribute to sustainable scientific application development with focus on the baking industry, provide high-level technical support during new product developments and you will support the technical validation of prioritized regional sales activities.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Executing controlled baking experiments within a laboratory setting to design, implement and evaluate our portfolio of products within various conditions
- Providing daily hands-on support in the bake lab to ensure the Application Development Manager's needs are met with expertise and efficiency
- Deliver innovative and efficient technical assistance for our customers and projects
- Collaborate closely with Research & Development, Marketing, and Sales teams to provide technical insights for industrial applications, thereby driving growth and exploring new opportunities
- Contribute as an active member of a global team of baking experts
About You
- Hands-on baking experience from the US baking, baking ingredient, or flour milling industry is essential
- Well fit professionals with practical work experience / education in baking will be considered
- Experience in enzymes is a clear asset, but not required
- A degree in Food Technology or related disciplines in a relevant industry connected to baking would be beneficial
- Preferably 2-5 years of work experience in baking industry
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to details
- A creative, innovative and passion for baking
- Fluency in written and spoken English skills - Spanish fluency is a plus
- An outgoing personality, good interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- Willingness and capability to travel up to 20 % of the time throughout USA and Canada for work-related assignments
