Bar Assistant Manager - Mandalay Bay

THE JOB:
 

As the Bar Assistant Manager at Mandalay Bay, you will be at the forefront of creating unforgettable guest experiences by ensuring smooth daily operations and leading a talented team. From managing inventory and coordinating activations for major events to overseeing service quality and driving creativity in the beverage program and menu development, your leadership will play a key role in shaping the future of our bar and lounge outlets. THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee the daily operations, including scheduling, floor checks, staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Maintain inventory, PAR levels, and manage the requisition process using Oracle and POS systems.
• Build strong relationships with team members, providing guidance and managing staff performance, discipline, and coaching.
• Drive guest satisfaction through creativity in the beverage program, event activations, and personalized service.
• Collaborate with leadership on departmental initiatives and menu design, playing an active role in strategic planning and new drink concepts.
• Play a key role in HR functions, including hiring, training, and performance management.
   

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• This position requires you to have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced hospitality environments, especially with casino or event activations.
• A passion for creativity and innovation in beverage programs, with the ability to collaborate with senior leadership on new ideas.
• A strong personality for managing relationships and delivering professional feedback.
• Familiarity with unionized environments and ability to handle scheduling and staff management within collective bargaining agreements.
