Bariatric Services Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of AmbulatoryOperations, this position navigates patients through insurance to PhysicalTherapy, Nutritionist, Social Worker, Bariatric Services and Bariatric surgery,and follows up with patients to educate them on their treatment, and ensurescompliance with treatment plans and screening follow up. This positioncollaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effectivepatient care delivery. This position is also responsible for maintaining programrecords, compiling data for quality measures, and assisting with marketing andcommunity awareness of the program .

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

1. Training in medical terminology and front and back office operations preferred
2. Ability to read, write and speak Spanish preferred
3. Computer literacy required, including Word and Excel
4. Medical billing with ICD-10 and CPT coding experience preferred.
5. Medical insurance verification and billing experience highly desired

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

1. Current CPR certification required
