Battery Electrical Repair Technician

Job Summary:

As a Battery Electrical Repair Technician at Gotion, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of Gotion's cutting-edge electric vehicle batteries. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining battery systems, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards. Your expertise will be vital in supporting Gotion's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Perform comprehensive diagnostic tests and inspections to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues in Gotion battery systems such as HV system, LV system, HVDB, FPCand others.   
2. Carry out repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks on battery components, including modules, connectors, cooling systems, and charging equipment, following Gotion's guidelines and procedures. 
3. Analyze and resolve complex electrical faults using specialized diagnostic tools, software, and technical documentation. 
4. Utilize Gotion's data systems to analyze battery performance data, identify trends, and proactively address potential issues. 
5. Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities are performed to the highest quality standards, meeting or exceeding Gotion's specifications. 
6. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and diagnostic findings. Generate detailed reports on battery issues, resolutions, and recommendations. 
7. Collaborate closely with other technicians, engineers, and service personnel to share knowledge, troubleshoot problems, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. 
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with Gotion's safety standards and regulations. 
9. Stay updated on the latest technological advancements and complete training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge. 

Qualifications: 

• 2+ years’ experience in automotive diagnosis, servicing, and repairs (may be substituted with experience in Assembly of Batteries or vehicles with evidence of exceptional ability).
• Experience with Canalyzer, BMS DTC, and data acquisitions 
• Proven experience as an electrical technician, preferably in the automotive industry or related field. 
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and battery technology. 
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and battery analyzers. 
• Familiarity with electric vehicle (EV) technology and working knowledge of Gotion's vehicles and energy products is highly desirable. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues. 
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and technical documentation. 
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. 
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and guidelines. 
• Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently. 
• 20% national and/or international travel expected.
