St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital – Tampa, FL

Outpatient-Focused OB/GYN with GME Involvement

BayCare is seeking an experienced OB/GYN to help launch and lead a new outpatient practice while supporting the expansion of our OB/GYN Residency Program at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital. This role is ideal for a physician who values outpatient autonomy, academic involvement, and excellent work-life balance. Notably, this opportunity features no night or weekend call.

The position offers the ability to shape the direction of a new practice, develop workflow and clinical focus areas, and collaborate closely with a well-established OB Hospitalist team. Physicians may participate in gynecologic surgery and C-sections based on professional interest. Teaching, resident mentorship, and participation in quality and safety initiatives are key components of this role.

Located in a freestanding women’s hospital, the practice benefits from immediate access to Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Breast Services, and advanced cardiac care for congenital conditions. The outpatient office includes all necessary equipment for common gynecologic procedures such as LEEP, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, and ultrasound.

Full-Scope OB/GYN with Robust Support and Protected Time

BayCare Medical Group’s Winter Haven OB/GYN practice offers a supportive, stable environment ideal for physicians seeking a traditional OB/GYN role with a healthy work-life balance. All overnight, weekend, and holiday call is fully covered by a dedicated OB Hospitalist team, allowing you to focus on patient care during clinic hours.

Join an experienced OB/GYN and a dedicated nurse practitioner within a multispecialty clinic supported by a strong referral network of more than 40 BayCare and community providers. The practice is well-established and deeply connected to the local community, offering excellent continuity of care and collaboration.

Winter Haven is centrally located between Tampa and Orlando and known for its lakes, family-friendly neighborhoods, affordable living, and proximity to theme parks and beaches—making it an appealing location for both work and home life.

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Eligibility for Florida medical licensure
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered women’s healthcare
Interest in teaching or mentoring (strongly valued for Tampa; available in Winter Haven)
Desire to contribute to a collaborative, growing women’s health program
