There’s an exciting new project we're working on at Zoic. It's a stop-motion animated feature that we'll be working on thru into the Fall of 2025.

For this particular show a great deal of Zoic employees assigned to the project will be working within our Zoic Vancouver Studios, in the Gastown Area (close to Waterfront Station Downtown). Coming together as a team within our studio helps to create the excitement and positive work environment we want for this special project. This position requires you to work in-studio full-time.
Summary of Position

The Digital Pipeline Project Manager will support the Digital Pipeline Sr Manager in overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of digital pipeline projects for VFX and studio wide implementations of digital workflows and tools.


Job Functions

  • Support the Digital Pipeline Sr Manager with day-to-day scheduling, communication, and planning of digital pipeline projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resources.
  • Track tickets and manage project-based agile boards for the team of technical directors supporting the Digital Pipeline in VFX.
  • Provide regular written updates on Digital Pipeline projects to production leadership and VFX supervisors and establish effective communication channels to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project documentation and work with Technology Engagement & Development team to plan roll outs and training of new digital pipeline tools and systems. Work with stakeholders and the Digital Pipeline Sr Manager to prioritize work in the department and drive allocation of resources effectively including personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure project success according to priorities.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively to minimize potential impact on project delivery.
  • Manage changes to project scope and schedule, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed. Supervise and provide support to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate project performance, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements for future projects.

Qualifications 

  • 3+ years' experience as a Technology Project Manager in a VFX or Animation pipeline studio setting, with a track record of successfully managing and delivering complex technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate project teams.
  • Solid technical background with a good understanding of software development lifecycle and technology infrastructure.

Additional information

  • British Columbia Employees Pay Range: $50-65 (The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position)
  • Candidates MUST be located in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia. This Role requires the candidate to work onsite, within our Vancouver Studio in Gastown.
  • Zoic does not cover relocation costs.
  • Any and all remote positions require the candidate to have a reliable internet connection via ethernet and work on Pacific Standard Time.
