BCMA LATAM Financial Crimes Analyst

As part of the BCMA LATAM organization, the role will support the Financial Crimes Regional Lead in all KYC/AML-related activities. The KYC/AML Lead role will be key in ensuring a robust control environment and culture within the Banking Capital Markets & Advisory business across the Region, covering 20 countries. This role is within the Business Risk & Controls team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with Global and Regional teams to develop strategic solutions for KYC related matters
• Act as banking partner with Compliance and the Institutional Clients Group KYC Utility teams to review and evaluate the application of KYC policy.
• Interact with bankers and product sales and service on KYC and AML-related issues.
• Analyze and evaluate internal KYC reports, databases, and operations to produce strategic and operational analyses inclusive of Quality Control, and escalations.
• Present results of operational analyses to Senior Management to ensure timely execution of KYC record completions.
• Act as back up to the Regional Lead at various regional/global committees.
• Assist with regulatory and audit inquiries.
• Report and monitor progress against stated goals and objectives.
• Provide support to any other KYC and AML related activities, as needed.

Knowledge/Experience:

• 2 years of experience in similar jobs
• KYC/AML background is required
• Banking and business background is essential

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• AMLCA, CPAML, or CAMS certification is a plus
• 1 year of experience in the same line of business is preferable
• Previous Internship in ICG a plus
• Fluent in English. Spanish and Portuguese a plus
• Strong MS Office and Excel Skills
• Research capabilities through various applications to obtain data
• Strong Presentations Skills
