This position has a base salary range of 104,000.00 - 130,000.00 - 156,000.00 USD annual . This range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience and time in the role.
Summary
Responsible for the support and resolution of issue and requests on all BCU Operations Team technology. Key to success in this position is the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, follow-up and communicate on open issues and identify escalation requirements. Must be able to manage multiple systems and project responsibilities simultaneously as well as document, prioritize, and participate as a team member. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in operational platforms.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, implementation, and administration of IT Operations platforms.
- Key technologies include File Transfer, Job Scheduling & Core Banking platforms
- Deep technical support & vendor management of the associated systems/vendors
- Troubleshoot & resolve complex Incidents using established documentation and technical knowledge
- Guide, train and mentor IT Operations, Service Desk technicians and other IT staff as appropriate
- Perform the role of IT Operations Analyst during periods of vacation and/or shift coverage
- Continual Service Improvement in the execution of the daily processes and tasks of the team
- Leverage automation tools such as PowerShell, OpCon, System Center, to reduce manual effort
- Manage data center and network/data closet access in accordance with security process
- Create, manage and document work items according to documented standards, processes & established SLAs
- Design, develop and publish appropriate metrics & KPIs (Power BI strongly preferred)
- MACD activities for the supported platforms and processes
- Perform maintenance and patching on appropriate technologies and platforms as documented
- Monitor and report status of the various backup solutions, working with the storage engineer as required
- Create capacity plan for the supported technologies and platforms
- Perform the Change Initiator and CAB Member roles according to established process/procedures
- Maintain Knowledge Base documentation updating current or creating new where appropriate
- Identify and/or update self-service options & efficiency improvements to support End Users
- Project tasks and other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Computer Science degree or equivalent experience in appropriate Information Technology fields.
- 5-10 years' experience in the IT Operations space, including server support, job scheduling and FTP
- Strong written, verbal, team interaction, and empathetic customer service skills
- Pragmatic and process-based approach to delivering support (ITIL foundation preferred)
- Strong quality "right first time" approach and a customer experience ownership mindset
- Ability to write concise, clear documentation and metrics/reports (PowerBI Preferred)
- Ability and strong desire to continually improve and automate daily tasks to reduce manual effort
- Flexibility is a must for the role, as there are frequent activities performed out of core business hours
- Strong general knowledge of the IT infrastructure, including network, server, storage & security concepts.
- Knowledge of SMA OpCon, Episys Quest and GlobalScape tools is a significant plus.
- Prior experience supporting the Credit Union or finance & banking sector is a significant plus
