BCW Summer 2024 HBSI (North America Headquarters Roles, Hybrid)

The Harold Burson Summer Internship (HBSI) Program gives early-career professionals an opportunity to explore the world of communications at a top-tier global communications agency during an exhilarating 10-week experience. During this paid internship, interns work alongside top professionals in the field, participating in everything from strategy and planning discussions to creative brainstorms aimed at capturing national news, shaping public opinion and sparking community engagement.

The HBSI culminates a real-world challenge where interns research, design and present a campaign for a current BCW client to the agency's senior management, receiving feedback, tips and insights that would ordinarily take years to obtain. These internal internships will complement the client facing intern's work. The summer internship program offers an invaluable career-development experience. The BCW North America Headquarters teams focus on BCW and our people supporting internal and external activations among key stakeholders (employees, clients, prospects, talent, etc.) and work to generate demand for our services. Our teams work collaboratively across all parts of the BCW business to accomplish assignments and support one another; a great learning opportunity for someone like you!

The program will run from June 3- August 9, 2024, in one of our 10 offices across North America. The health and well-being of our employees, including you as our future intern, are our top priorities. All our offices are open, and we plan to welcome you to them as many days a week as you'd like, but BCW North America is currently following an 8 day/month in-office hybrid policy.

There are separate applications for client-facing positions which include: Brand Solutions, Direct Impact (Grassroots), Corporate Affairs, Healthcare, Performance Media, Technology and Digital. If you are interested in a North American Headquarters role and a client facing role, please feel free to apply for both. They are all still a part of the broader Harold Burson Summer Internship, you will just have a different focus area.

Our New Business and Growth Team is responsible for developing and implementing the growth strategy for our agency. The team partners with regional and global agency leadership to ensure best-in-class campaigns for solving complex business problems while driving growth and diversifying the client portfolio and enhancing the BCW brand externally.

The Marketing & Communications Team focuses on supporting internal and external communications for BCW's brand awareness and reputation among key stakeholders (clients, prospects, talent, industry influencers) and works to generate demand for our services. The NA MarComms team is looking for someone who has project management skills, has an interest in writing and social media, all while infusing fun and passion into the work along the way.

The IDEA Team drives BCW forward by implementing inclusion, diversity, equity, and accountability into all company aspects. Internally, the IDEA Team oversees our Employee Resource Group Program, the IDEA Think Tanks, our award-winning Destination Inclusion programming, and our Heritage Milestone programming. Externally, the IDEA Team manages the Propel Early Career Program, and supports the Polycultural Consulting Unit. The IDEA Team also works with external DEI organizations to ensure we are performing ahead of the curve in terms of diversity in the PR industry.
