Job Description

TTI, Inc. is searching for a BDG Business Development Specialist that will be responsible for formulating plans and leading TTI's efforts to identify potential new customers across North America. The BDG Business Development Specialist ensures that all branch teams have defined goals where measurement takes place on a monthly basis. The BDG Business Development Representative will promote and demonstrate sound qualification techniques to prioritize prospects that represent the best return on investment for TTI.

What our BDGBusiness Development Specialist does:

  • Identifies and pursues new prospects for TTI through a defined set of lead sources utilizing all appropriate communication media including telephone, electronic communication, and social media networks.
  • Ensures that leads have been properly qualified in a timely manner and that appropriate documentation has been captured that accurately defines the opportunity associated with each prospect. In turn, determines the next appropriate steps and resource(s) within TTI based upon defined opportunity of the customer.
  • Inputs all leads into the Closed Loop Lead Process (CLLP) to ensure branch stakeholders have visibility to our activities, efforts, and success.
  • Serves as a single point of contact for each branch for all leads. Proactively reaches out to branch stakeholders, especially Field Sales Representatives and Product Managers, in an effort to promote a stronger and more collaborative relationship.
  • Ensures that new account set up requests follow the appropriate process and meet certain established criteria. Determines if new customers require support from a local Field Account Representative and requests assignment as required. Coordinates within TTI to ensure proper handoff is planned and executed in a seamless way where the customer is comfortable and there is no disruption to our business.
  • Meets with stakeholders associated with the various defined lead sources and shares overall performance and effectiveness. Holds branch stakeholders accountable for ensuring that prospects are receiving the proper attention and effort needed to become customers of TTI.
  • Conducts monthly one-on-one discussions to review overall regional performance, target accounts, new business opportunities, and areas for professional development.
  • Positively supports TTI's branding efforts by making timely, relevant, and informative posts on social media networks.
  • Takes an active interest in customer accounts that have been set up and transitioned to another TTI resource. Ensures that said customers are receiving the appropriate attention and priority necessary for our business to grow rapidly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


What we are looking for in a BDG Business Development Specialist:

  • Requires a HS Diploma or GED; Business related degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous Business Development experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrates and promotes TTI culture to instill company loyalty and continuity.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills which requires creative thinking.
  • Documented success building accounts organically.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel.
  • High energy, strong work ethic, and positive attitude dedicated to achieving BDG objectives through business development activities
  • Organized with good time management skills including multi-tasking and ability to reprioritize at a moments notice.
  • Good working relationship with corporate Product Marketing teams.
  • Makes intelligent pricing decisions based upon situational analysis.
  • Strong product, system, and operational knowledge.
  • Strong prospecting, probing, and qualification skills to maximize ROI.
  • Interacts effectively with department managers, team members and groups inside and outside the organization.
  • Arrives on time to work scheduled hours and supports local time zone of assigned geography.
